Kader Factory -- OK -- This factory was believed to be the largest factory which originated in Hong Kong and then moved to China. This factory produced alot of cabbage patch kids, the body's of these dolls were usually stuffed securely and left the kids with the appeal of chubby/big feet and hands. The quality of thier wool hair was very good. This factory aslo produced the largest amount of freckled dolls.

Kam Yeun Toy factory -- KT-- Dolls produced by this factory appeared smaller, with smaller hands and feet, the faces of thesse dolls were delicatly done with well blended and softer appearance to the eyes. the wool used for the hair was very thin. some of the earlier dolls came with an embroidered tag.

Perfeckta factory -- P -- These kids were beautifully formed. They have nicely shaped hands and legs, and long bodies. the earlier dolls that were produced had an almost two inch difference in hieght than any other dolls made. Reasearch has shown that all thier number 2 dolls were made with smaller or reduced eyes, with or without freckles.

Unfortunately these particular dolls from this factory have been the ones generally infected with pox, or what is known as Vinyl Deterioration in the toy industry . This is inflicted on the heads with spots that look like chicken pox, white or black marks all over the head.

PMI Factory -- PMI --This factory was also located in China when there was a high demand for cabbage patch kids. dolls produced int his factory generally had well formed, thin bodies with small hands.some of the earlier made number 1 dolls have larger eyes.

Unfortunatly this particular factory was also affected with the pox epidemic.

UT Factory -- UT -- This factory was located in Taiwan and contracted originally to make the clothes for the cabbage patch kids however when the demand was high for the dolls was believed to have been making dolls as well.

These kids are distinguishable from thier porcelain like appearance and what seemed to be alot of blush on thier faces, giving them a fresh clean appearance.

Rare and hard to find now

IC Factory -- IC --This factory was located in taiwan with a few different factories making these dolls that included ICą, IC2, IC3, IC6, and IC8. These dolls have small pretty curls, nicely shaped bodies, perfect eyes, and either pale or yellow tinged or creamy white porcelain looking faces.

The cowboy/cowgirl dolls that came with the Show Ponies were generally made by this factory as well as some 1985 dolls with freckles.

SS/WS Factories-- These factories were located in china and produced, preemies, babies and clothing for both as well. THe bodies of these dolls were slim and very well formed.
